It is an incredible country! 

You may not know just much Nepal and India share. 

The Himalayas

Nepal is known as ‘The Land of the Himalayas’. 

There are 1310 mountains in Nepal! 

Mount Everest is one of the mountains found in Nepal. 

It is the tallest mountain in the world! 

Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay were the first men to climb Mount Everest. 

Tenzing Norgay was a Nepali-Indian man! 

The Culture

Nepal has a rich culture. 

Many festivals are celebrated in Nepal. 

Some such festivals include Dashain and Buddha Jayanti.

There are many cultures in the country of Nepal.

There are many traditional and classic songs and music.

The beautiful Maruni dance and Tamang Selo song are examples!

The sari is the traditional dress for women.

Nepal and India are similar yet different!

English Education in Nepal

English education in India has many challenges.

Many of these challenges are faced in Nepal, too.

A new English program has been introduced in 48 Nepal schools.

This technology program is used all over India, too!

The program has many useful tools.

The translation tool can translate into 11 languages.

There is a pronunciation and picture dictionary tool.

Government school students in Nepal learn English with technology.  

It has been 7 months since the program started.

The teachers and students have been loving the program!
