Learn How to Order Food with EnglishBolo

In this blog we will share some simple and useful tips to order food.

We will also share a sample conversation to help you understand better. 

Who does not enjoy eating at restaurants?

Feeling Hungry? Let us order some food.

First, look at the Menu and decide what you would like to eat.

Then call the waiter and order your food. 

Point to remember –  be friendly and polite when you order.

Sample Conversation

Waiter – Hello! Can I take your order please?

Customer – Yes please, I would like to order one  sandwich, one dosa, a cup of tea and a glass of lassi.

Waiter – Sure, will that be a vegetable sandwich or a cheese sandwich.

Customer – A cheese sandwich please.

Waiter – Would you like some sugar in your tea?

Customer – No, thank you.

Waiter – Ok, and would that be sweet or salted Lassi.

Customer – Sweet lassi, please.

Waiter – Sure. I will be back with your food soon.

Customer – Thank you.

Next, ordering food at a Fast Food Restaurant. You will need to order your food at the payment counter.

Sample Conversation # 2

Cashier – Your order please?                                                                      

Customer – I’d like to order 2 vegetable burgers

Cashier – Sure, would you like something else with that?

Customer – Yes, I would like some french fries.

Cashier – Something to drink?

Customer – Yes can I have 2 cold coffees please?

Cashier – Sure. Will that be all?

Customer – Yes. Can I get some extra ketchup sachets please.

Cashier – Sure. That will be 400 rupees please. Your order  will be ready in 10 minutes ma’am.

Customer – Thank you.
