How to Talk in English | Directions
Directions are important to learn for many reasons.
Your friends may want to see your new house.
They may need help finding the location.
Maybe, you need some instructions on how to get to your new office!
If you let go of a balloon, how do you say where it went?
Or if you drop something in a well, which direction did it go?
In these situations, you will need to give directions.
Directions are words we use to describe where something goes.
We will teach you these terms today!
Basic Terms for Directions
Right – for example, “turn right at the signal.”
Left – for example, “the office is to the left of the hotel.”
Up – for example, “the balloon went up into the sky.”
Down – “the girl went down the slide.”
Back – “I like to sit at the back of the class.”
Front – “there is a bus stop in front of my house.”
